Leather and chaguar small crossbody bag, crafted by skilled artisans from the Wichí community in the Gran Chaco region of Argentina.

The chaguar fibers are sustainably harvested and then manually spun, dyed, and woven by hand, resulting in a beautiful and eco-friendly material. The leather used for the purse is of the highest quality and carefully selected to ensure the longevity of the product.

The design is both elegant and functional, with ample space to carry your essentials. By purchasing this purse, you're not only getting a beautiful and stylish accessory, but you're also supporting the Wichí community and preserving their cultural heritage.

Matriarca works together with the Cooperative of Artisan Women of Argentina, who work manually applying ancestral knowledges. For over 20 years, handicrafts have been an engine of economic development for indigenous communities in Argentina, with members from Chaco, Formosa, Salta, and Jujuy.
