WHERE DOES THIS LEATHER COME FROM?

This Caramel Purse is handmade in a tannery in San Antonio de Areco in Buenos Aires, by a Peruvian leather craftsman. The tannery selects leather that meets the highest standards in quality and whose production processes comply with the strictest environmental norms.

Luli, an environmental engineer, and Guille, a former collaborator for the UN’s Human Resources Department, partnered with a tannery in San Antonio de Areco. The business is devoted, day and night, to perfecting the value chain of leather goods.

Their tannery is a local business that employs around 130 families in the area. The production of the pieces is under the supervision of a skilled leather craftsman, a Peruvian immigrant who has been developing his skill all his life.

Their leather is produced in an environmentally and socially responsible way. This includes using sustainable practices throughout the entire leather production process, from sourcing the raw materials to tanning the hides and finishing the leather.
